Game Featuring La Fouine
American rapper and producer The Game has united his talents with that of French rapper Laouni Kettani, known as La Fouine for a chart busting single from La Fouine’s 2010 album. The duo also produced a video for the song which has been a hit on international television and on specialty music video websites like YouTube or Metacafe.
The Game is very well known by now in the United States and all over the world. He started out as part of 50 Cent’s gangsta rap group G-Unit and split from them to pursue a solo career. His decision provided him with the chance of showing off his talent in a new and unique way, becoming even more successful than G-Unit itself. His impressive beat spread and spot-on rap can be found in each one of his albums and in ever collaborative effort that he has with other similar or otherwise artists.
Laouni Kettani is a young rapper of Moroccan descent who started his career in the suburbs of Paris. Signing with Sony Records in 2003, he has managed to release 7 albums until 2010. His success grew along the years, selling thousands of copies of his music CDs to the French public. Somewhere along the way he gained access to the international scene an started collaborations with other artists that made him stand out even more from the crowd.
His musical collaboration with The Game was for the song Caillera For Life. The piece contains classical elements of La Fouine’s style, combined in a perfect beat known very well by Game’s fans. What resulted was a bilingual video, while both artists rap in French and English for the song. The music video contains simple elements. The usual candidates are included: some friends from the ‘hood’, some nice ladies standing around, great cars, expensive drinks, interesting clothes and, of course, the shiny jewelry.
