The Game Featuring Ghostface Killah

Rapper The Game has been collaborating with many fellow hip hop artists for several years both on his albums and as a guest on the albums of others. One of Game’s most recent collaborations has led him to be featured on the 2010 Apollo Kids by Ghostface Killah.

The Game has been delighting hip hop fans for almost a decade now. Starting out as a member of the immensely successful gangsta rap group, G-Unit the hip-hop artist has been noticed by many. After his collaboration with 50 Cent and the other members of G-Unit ended, Game went on to release solo albums of his own.

Ghostface Killah also started out in a band some years ago. As a member of the Wu-Tang Clan, alongside famous rappers like RZA, Method Man, Raekwon, the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard and others, the group was a great success all through the 90s. Ghostface Killah went on to pursue a solo career, as did other members of the group, and many years later he is currently on his 10th studio album, not counting other collaboration or compilation albums.

Apollo Kids was Ghostface Killah’s 9th studio album and contained a total of 12 tracks. There were many artists featured on most of the songs. Former colleagues and friends Method Man, Raekwon and GZA are part of songs like Purified Thoughts, Ghetto and Troublemakers. The collaboration btween Ghostface and Game proved fruitful as the song entitled Drama, also featuring Joell Ortiz, was received very well by both critics and fans.

Apollo Kids has received general acclaim from music critics like Metacritic, Allmusic, Entertainment Weekly, Pitchfork Media, USA Today and Rolling Stone. The Game was a major factor in the entire sound of Drama, while Method Man, GZA, Redman and Busta Rhymes created incredible beats in others alongside Ghostface Killah.
