Many other hard times befell The Game after this point as his older brother was shot at a gas station when The Game was only 13 years old. His brother was only 17 at the time and had just gotten a record deal. His older brother, Jevon, died in a hospital soon after.
The Game went to Compton High where most of his classmates were gang affiliated. Most were crips though Game followed in his brother Big Fase’s footsteps and became a blood. After high school The Game decided to go to Washington State University though he had various scholarship offers to go to other universities. He saw this as a way out of the violence and poverty he lived through. After losing his scholarship for being found guilty of drug possession The Game turned to the drug game for a while and then after being shot and lying in a coma for days he turned his focus to a rap career as a way out of the life.
